FAQ
Will the SUREswivel really hold my dog?
The short answer is YES! SUREswivel has been extensively tested to withstand up to 1000 lbs of pull force. It works great for dogs (or cats!) large and small, energetic or calm.
There are some instances where the ground might not be well suited for a SUREswivel, such as if the soil is particularly sandy, rocky, or overly saturated, though this is not often an issue. If this is a concern we recommend permanent installation using cement or you can purchase longer stakes to use with the SUREswivel base.
Where is the SUREswivel made?
We are proud to be able to say that the SUREswivel is Made in the USA!
Why doesn’t the SUREswivel come with a tether?
Tethers come in many different lengths and are made of many different materials. Because every dog is different and the SUREswivel is used in many different spaces we’ve left it up you to choose what will work best for your pet. Just remember….choose a length that doesn’t extend beyond a debris free radius.
What length and style of tether do you recommend I use with the SUREswivel?
There are many factors to take into consideration when selecting a tether to use with the SUREswivel. It is important to keep in mind that you need a debris free radius to safely use your SS, so be sure to choose a length that will allow for this. There are a variety of materials used to make tethers. You will want to factor in the size of your pet, their energy level and behaviors (such as, whether or not they are a chewer) when choosing what will work best.
Does it matter if I use a harness or a collar?
For the comfort and safety of your pet we recommend that a harness, rather than a collar, is used with the SUREswivel.
Can I mow over it?
It is possible to mow over a SUREswivel. In order to do so you will need to remove grass down to the dirt base layer and then install it. You’ll want to take in account the setting on your lawn mower as well and make sure you have about an inch clearance. The SUREswivel is approximately 3 inches tall.
Can one SUREswivel be used for two dogs?
One SUREswivel base works great for tethering two dogs. The dual swivel feature of the SUREswivel prevents the tethers from becoming entangled. It is important to take into consideration the stability of the soil, as well as the size and activity level of both dogs when using one SUREswivel.
I lost some of my stakes, can I order more?
If you would like to purchase a set you can do so here.
